Catherine Chalmers has a B.S. in Engineering from Stanford University and an M.F.A. in Painting from the Royal College of Art in London. She is an artist and filmmaker whose work explores the dynamics between animal and human, nature and culture. She is a Guggenheim Fellow and has exhibited her work around the world including MoMA P.S.1, New York; MASS MoCA, North Adams, MA; Kunsthalle Vienna.
Charles Lindsay, Chalmers’s partner, is a multidisciplinary artist interested in technology, eco-systems, semiotics, and esoteric forms of humor. He creates immersive environments, sound installations, sculptures built from salvaged aerospace and bio-tech equipment, videos and photographs. Educated as an exploration geologist Lindsay is the SETI Institute’s A.I.R. Program Director and a Guggenheim Fellow.
Erika Osborne’s artwork engages the cultural connection to place by exploring the intersections between science, history and art. Current projects include paintings that explore artifacts of Manifest Destiny, a drawing and installation project based on fire history and a current forest thinning models in the Sagehen Experimental Forest, and a series of paintings and site-specific works that address the concept of wilderness today. Erika has exhibited extensively nationally and internationally and is currently represented by Robischon Gallery in Denver, Colorado.
