The Altered Landscape (forthcoming 2011)

This 288-page, full-color, deluxe publication, published by Rizzoli and the Nevada Museum of Art, will feature the Museum‘s signature Altered Landscape collection that includes images that examine human interaction and intervention with the environment. The thirty-year span of The Altered Landscape begins with the work of the New Topographics photographers, including Robert Adams, Joe Deal, Frank Gohlke, and Lewis Baltz. Alongside these pioneering photographers are contemporary works by artists including Mark Klett, Patrick Nagatani, John Pfahl, Jim Sanborn, Sharon Stewart, Amy Stein, and Fandra Chang. Edited by Ann M. Wolfe, Curator of Exhibitions, Nevada Museum of Art.

Chris Drury: Mushrooms|Clouds (2009)

This 88-page, full-color book titled Chris Drury: Mushrooms | Clouds was co-published by the Nevada Museum of Art and the Center for American Places at Columbia College Chicago, with distribution by the University of Chicago Press. The book features multiple new artworks by British artist Chris Drury commissioned in collaboration with numerous partner organizations. Authored by Ann M. Wolfe, Nevada Museum of Art Curator of Exhibitions and Collections, the publication includes an essay by Colin Robertson, Nevada Museum of Art Curator of Education, Lynn Fenstermaker, Desert Research Institute, Ralph Burns, Pyramid Lake Museum and Visitors Center, and Elizabeth Ellsworth and Jamie Kruse, Smudge Studio, New York.

Michael Light: Some Dry Space (2008)

This 48-page publication features photographs from Michael Light’s project Some Dry Space: An Inhabited West. With an introduction by Ann M. Wolfe, it also includes a conversation between Light and William L. Fox.

Dennis Oppenheim (2003)

This 80-page publication documents an exhibition of works by internationally-known artist Dennis Oppenheim in 2004. It includes an essay by Eleanor Heartney, and a conversation between Oppenheim and former Museum Curator Diane Deming.

The Altered Landscape (1999)

This 144-page publication features selections from the Museum’s signature Altered Landscape photography collection. Edited by Peter E. Pool, the book includes scholarly essays by Patricia Nelson Limerick, Dave Hickey, and Thomas W. Southall. The book was co-published by the Nevada Museum of Art and the University of Nevada Press.
