    MUSEUM SCHOOL OPEN HOUSE and Hands ON! Second Saturdays

    Saturday December 13, 2014 / 10 am – 6 pm

    E.L. Cord Museum School Open House
    and Hands ON! Second Saturdays

    Meet the E.L. Cord Museum School faculty, participate in hands on demonstrations, lunch at chez louie or enjoy local food trucks including Crepes and MoreMellow Yellow and Still Rollin’. All visitors will receive free admission to the Museum, discounts on upcoming classes and are invited to participate in hands-on art projects and storytelling.

    10 am – 4 pm | Wheel Throwing Demos with instructor, Karen Vetter

    10:30, 11:30, 1:30, 2:30 pm | Watercolor Holiday Cards with instructor, Carroll Charlet
    10:30, 11:30, 1:30, 2:30 pm | Mono-Printmaking with instructor, Candace Nicol
    10:30 & 11 am | Children’s Storytelling with Kathleen Durham
    11 am – 1 pm | Visit with Santa!
    12 – 3 pm | Pop-Up Shop featuring work by Casey D. Sibley and Karen Hancock
    1:00 pm | Public Tour (adult focus) – 3rd Floor
    1:30 pm | Performance by Van Gorder Elementary Honor Choir
    2:30 & 3 pm | Children’s Storytelling with Kathleen Durham

    MUSEUM STORE: Holiday Pop-Up

    Saturday December 13, 2014 / 12 – 3 pm

    Join us for this personal shopping experience featuring two local designers with international reach. Textile artist Casey D. Sibley creates handmade home goods and accessories in a happy modern style. KarenHancock makes metal jewelry from copper, brass, and sterling silver.     Guided Tour – Saturday Afternoon

    Saturday December 13, 2014 / 1 – 2 pm

    Tour the featured exhibition with one of the Museum’s trained docents during a regularly scheduled Guided Tour offered Thursdays at 6 pm (except First Thursdays); Saturdays at 1 pm; and Sundays at 1 pm. Reservations are not needed.  Free with admission.
