    Educator Evening: Visual Arts and Critical Thinking

    Wednesday March 2, 2016 / 4 – 6 pm

    Local educators are invited to this FREE special series on the first Wednesday of every month (excluding January and July). Join Charles N. Mathewson Curator of Education Colin M. Robertson for a presentation, discussion and activity exploring visual arts and critical thinking as they relate to the Nevada Academic Content Standards. A light reception will follow the presentation. Teacher in-service credit is available for participating in the Educator Evenings. Earn 0.5 teacher in-service credit for attending five Educator Evenings and 1.0 credit for attending ten during August 1 through July 31 timeframe. Please check with the State of Nevada to see if credit may be applied to your area of licensure.

    Members Premiere: Welcome to the Sky Overflow Party

    Saturday March 5, 2016 / 11 am – 2 pm

    SOLD OUT – ALL COMPLIMENTARY RESEVATIONS FOR THIS EVENT ARE TAKEN.  Doors open at 10 am on Saturday.  Please show a valid Membership card upon entry and bring your printed reservation receipt. If you do not have a printed reservation receipt, a guest list will be available at the door.

    A limited amount of tickets are available at the door for the Overflow Party.  Tickets are first come, first served until maximum capacity is met.

    Due to the “sold out” status of the Members Premiere and concert presented in the Nightingale Sky Room, we will be simulcasting the concert by the Steep Canyon Rangers into other spaces within the Museum.  Members may enjoy a preview of The Horse, purchase a drink, and enjoy the concert from a monitor or in the theater.  The Sky Room will be open to the membership once the concert ends (until 3 pm). 

    The Museum would like to extend huge gratitude to all our members for your incredible support. The unexpected positive response you have shown for this premiere is deeply humbling. Let’s celebrate!
