    Hands ON! Second Saturdays

    Saturday February 10, 2018 / 10 am – 6 pm

    The Hands ON! on Second Saturdays program offers monthly free admission, hands-on art activities, storytelling, a docent-guided tour, live performances, and community collaborations.  “Art Investigators” provides children the opportunity to engage with Museum staff and take a closer look at artwork while engaging in a dialogue about key pieces.  New exhibitions, community collaborations, cultural explorations, guest performances and monthly themes rotate in this engaging series of monthly programs.

    10 am – 4 pm | Art Project: Folk Art Inspired Painted Boxes
    10:30 & 11 am | Children’s Storytelling with Kathleen Durham
    11:30 am & 2 pm | Art Investigators: Kid Detectives Look at Art
    1:00 pm | Public Tour (adult focus)
    1:30 pm | Performance: Reno Philharmonic’s RPAK Youth Mariachi Group
    2:30 & 3 pm | Children’s Storytelling with Kathleen Durham

    Book Signing: “Seasons,” An Artroverse Work by Joan Davis and Tia Rancourt

    Saturday February 10, 2018 / 12 – 3 pm

    Lake Tahoe/San Francisco artist Joan Élan Davis and wordsmith Tia Rancourt, collectively known as Artroverse, present Seasons, a book designed to “create extraordinary inspiration.” Meet the artists during Hands ON! Second Saturday.


  • Group Tours

    Guided Tour – Saturday Afternoon

    Saturday February 10, 2018 / 1 – 2 pm

    Tour the featured exhibition with one of the Museum’s trained docents during a regularly scheduled Guided Tour offered Saturdays at 1 pm. Additional Guided Tours on Sundays at 1 pm; the last Wednesday of each month at 1:30 pm; and Thursdays at 6 pm (except First Thursdays). Reservations are not needed.
