Registration Information and Policies

Registration

Pre-registration is required and confirmed upon receipt of payment. You may register online, by phone, or in person at the admissions desk. Classes are limited in size thus early registration is recommended.

No refunds or transfers of funds to another class thereafter. Students will not receive refunds or pro-rated tuition due to partially attended classes.

Teacher In-Service Credit

The Museum School offers in-service credit to educators of the Washoe County School District for select classes. Please contact the Museum School Director at 775.329.3333 x. 260 in advance of the first day of class to make arrangements for in-service credit. Note that all class sessions must be attended in order to receive credit. Upon completion of the course, you will be mailed a certificate of credit.

Class Location

Most classes are hosted at the E.L. Cord Museum School, located at the Nevada Museum of Art, Donald W. Reynolds Center for the Visual Arts, E. L. Wiegand Gallery at 160 West Liberty Street in downtown Reno. Students enter the Museum School through the outdoor gate to the left of the doors marked “E.L. Cord Museum School and employee and security entrance.” These doors are located to the south end of the building and can be seen from the parking lot. Driving directions for classes hosted off-site will be made available to students at the time of registration.

Photography

The Museum School occasionally documents classes for promotional purposes. If you do not want yourself or your child photographed, please notify the Museum School at the time of registration.

Course Cancellations

The Museum School reserves the right to cancel courses and change class scheduling as well as change instructors without incurring obligations.

NOTE
Online Registration should also eliminate the need to fill out multiple forms with a clear cancellation policy and automatic re-confirmation email after a student signs up online (again with clear cancellation policy listed).
