Museum School Class Schedule

The E.L. Cord Museum School of the Nevada Museum of Art is now accepting enrollment for the Winter 2010 class schedule. Classes are limited in size, therefore early registration is recommended. Scholarships are available for all ages. Please call the Museum for details at 775.329.3333 ex 260.

    SPRING BREAK ART CAMP

    Mondays, April 12 to April 16 / 9:00AM - 1:00PM

    Monday thru Friday


    Each day offers a different media including clay, painting, drawing and printmaking, allowing kids to experiment with art. Campers will create their own works of art and explore the galleries of the Museum. Dress for a mess and please bring a lunch with no foods containing nuts.

    BABY PAINTING

    Saturday May 1, 2010 / 9:30AM - 10:15AM

    Bring your baby and go beyond finger painting by blobbing, smushing, and smearing colors with hands and feet! Witness their first painting with no mess at home. Your baby will make a creative keepsake for the family to cherish.

    TEEN COLLABORATIVE OPEN STUDIO

    Tuesdays, June 15 to July 20 / 6:00PM - 8:00PM

    High school students will meet other teens interested in art, discuss ideas, and get inspired by the work of underground artists in this open studio. They’ll learn about community art happenings and different art techniques while building their creative identity. Teens will explore screen printing, zines, and participate in a collaborative project. Students have the option of signing up for six or four sessions.


    Six sessions: $108 / $96 Museum members, Four sessions: $72 / $64 Museum members. Please call Jennifer Ishimatsu at 775-329-3333 x260 to register for four sessions.
