    Kids’ Corner: Mythological Creatures

    Wednesdays, August  23 - September 27 / 3:30 - 5:30 pm

    Centaurs, mermaids, and dragons will inspire young artists as they explore a variety of art materials in this fun six-week after school series. Students will learn and improve on basic illustration, printing and book-making techniques. All materials and a snack are included with registration.

    Art High: Drawing the Figure

    Saturdays, August 26 - September 30 / 9:30 am - noon

    Teens ages 13 - 18 will enjoy exploring basic figure sketching techniques through line, value, shape and composition. The first class will explore basic drawing techniques while working from a mannequin, the remaining classes will include drawing sessions with a live posed model dressed in swim or athletic attire. *Supply list.

    Fall Break Camp: Fun with Clay

    Monday - Friday, October 2 - 6 / 8:30 am - noon

    Kids ages 7 – 12 will have fun exploring the tactile nature of clay. Instruction will encompass basic hand building, throwing on the wheel, and sculpture. In this 5-day camp, students will learn about the basics of pottery, glazing and the transformation of their pieces from the heat of kiln. This will be a fun and educational class. All works will be fired in the Museums' kiln. Snack and materials are included.

    Art High: Clay Intensive

    Monday - Friday, October 2 - 6 / 1:30 - 4:30 pm

Students will get their hands dirty in the classroom early in the morning and then and will practice their drawing skills while exploring the Museum’s galleries. A mid-morning snack and all materials are included with registration. *Students need to bring a cold-lunch and bottle of water.

    Teens ages 13 - 18 will enjoy this six-week series designed to develop hand-building and wheel-throwing techniques while working in clay. Students will be introduced to basic techniques and skills will be encouraged think creatively while working towards their final project(s).
