Using the transparent watercolor medium, this class will explore the nature of creating fresh, vibrant trees (and forests), a common element in nearly all landscape paintings.

Required Supplies:
Required Supplies: 3-ring notebook filled with pages of cut to size watercolor paper - 140# or 300#, 3 hole-punched. ( OK to use backside of old paintings you aren't happy with )
1 sheet of 22 X 30 watercolor paper. Arches 140# or equivalent
Backing board for the same ( foam core works OK)
Pallet loaded with colors you use.
Any additional tubes of colors you wish to try out.
2 Large round brushes - 12 or 14, depending on which is the largest.
cotton rags, spray bottle for water, containers (2) for water, hair dryer
Sketches of trees that you have done with backup photos of same. ( Please don't wait until class day to do a sketch. I will need to see how you sketch when class begins.)
