Saturday, February 23, 2013 – Saturday, February 23, 2013 / 9:00 am
NOTE: Class meets in the Founders' Room on the 3rd Floor inside the Museum. Please use the Museum School entrance, towards the back of the parking lot. Ring the bell at the glass door for admittance. Pr-registration required through this course posting. Artists, art professionals and art enthusiasts are invited to join a roundtable discussion with like-minded individuals. This professional development session is designed to help artists refine their artist statement, professional bio and resume, work towards developing a "brand" and learn how to shoot and prepare a digital portfolio. Fiber artist, Toni Lowden, will facilitate a group dialogue featuring special guests Mark Curtis, of Mark Curtis and Friends, a creative brand development firm, Jeff Ross, commercial and fine art photographer, and surrealist landscape Painter, Phyllis Shafer. Phyllis Shafer's work is represented in the Museum's collection and she also teaches at South Lake Tahoe Community College. Second session of the Artists' Roundtable will be on March 30th.
