Explore the historic art form of arrow making from the tradition of the Great Basin Indians including Washoe, Western Shoshone, Northern Pauite and Southern Paiute tribes in this one day workshop with native Nevadan Washoe/Paiutes, Ben and John Rupert. Using materials found in the Great Basin including obsidian, sinew, wild rose, wild cane and local turkey feathers, participants will learn about the heritage of our region while exploring Native techniques. An a.m. class is offered for children ages 8-14, with the afternoon session offered for adults (ages 15+). Adults, please scroll down to register for afternoon session. All materials are included.
