When volunteering for the Nevada Museum of Art, you belong to a special group of dedicated individuals who donate their time and experience to helping sustain the many activities of the organization. Last year, the Museum was the beneficiary of over 12,013 hours of volunteer service valued at approximately $216,234.
Volunteers in Art (VIA)
The Nevada Museum of Art is supported by the Volunteers in Art (VIA). All individuals who volunteer and are current members of the Museum are part of VIA. VIA has its own governing body, called the VIA Council, which hosts fundraisers, recognition events and publishes a newsletter in support of volunteer activities. Individuals who have given a minimum of 25 hours/year in service may be elected to the VIA Council. The VIA Council meets regularly to attend to the business of the volunteers as well as to work on other Museum projects as needed.
