A + E Conference

The Art + Environment Conference is the flagship program of the Center for Art + Environment. This triennial event inspires new collaborations, relationships and scholarship through an exchange of bold ideas, new knowledge, and diverse creative practices.

Since the inaugural event in 2008, the Conference has built a global community of more than 2,000 artists, scholars, designers, and educators who engage with the Center on an ongoing basis. Past Conference participants include Vito Acconci, Diana Al-Hadid, Subhankar Banerjee, Matt Coolidge, Minerva Cuevas, Nicholas Galanin, Jeff Gordinier, Fritz Haeg, Patricia Johanson, Rem Koolhaas, Maya Lin, Geoff Manaugh, Bruce Sterling, Leo Villareal , and many more. Attendance for the Conference has more than quadrupled since its inception, and a community network has emerged that eagerly awaits the dialogues that continue beyond the Conference itself.
