Expansion to Las Vegas

The Nevada Museum of Art recently embarked upon the first steps of its expansion into Las Vegas, a venture announced in June 2018. A new facility of approximately 145,000 square feet will be developed in a downtown location and will cost approximately $200 million. With the support of the community, the goal is to open the new facility by 2025.

In the fall of 2019, the Nevada Museum of Art will open a public Visitor’s Center to host exhibitions, educational activities, programs and community events as well as to share updates on the architectural plans for the building and to promote membership.

As the first stand-alone, accredited fine art museum in Las Vegas, the new building will have a profound cultural impact on the region and enhance the capacity for audience-driven programs and allow artists in every visual and performative genre to present groundbreaking work.
