Summer Break Camp: Intro to Visual Art

Calling all young creatives! This exciting camp invites kids ages 7 – 11 to explore the vibrant world of visual art through hands-on projects in drawing, painting, collage, and sculpture. Guided by the instructor, students will build foundational art skills while discovering just how fun and expressive art can be.

Each day, campers will be inspired by contemporary and pop artists who’ve made their mark in these mediums—sparking imagination and encouraging creative confidence. Whether your child is a budding artist or just loves to make things, this camp offers a supportive space to experiment and grow. All supplies and a mid-class snack are provided.

Kids ages 7 – 11 will have fun exploring the tactile nature of clay.  Instruction will encompass basic hand building, throwing on the wheel, and sculpture.  In this 5 day camp, students will learn about the basics of pottery, glazing and the transformation of their pieces from the heat of kiln. This will be a fun and educational class.  All works will be fired in the Museums’ kiln. Snack and materials are included.

Spring Break Camp: Creative Drawing

Kids ages 7 – 11 will explore their creativity in this Creative Drawing Camp! This exciting and hands-on camp is designed to spark imagination while teaching the fundamentals of art. Students will explore color theory, character design, and basic art forms in a fun and supportive environment. Through guided lessons, engaging activities, and plenty of creative freedom, campers will develop their drawing skills while expressing their unique ideas. All supplies and a mid-camp snack will be provided.

Spring Break Teen Camp: Digital Art and Illustration

Teens ages 12– 15 will explore the basics of Procreate on the Museum’s iPad Pros as they work on story-boarding, character design and animation in this after school series. Students will also have an opportunity to learn drawing fundamentals and techniques that can be applied to all forms of drawing. A snack and all materials are included with registration.

Spring Break Camp: Digital Art and Illustration

Kids ages 7– 11 will have fun playing on the Museum’s iPad Pros as they work on story-boarding, character design and animation in this 5 day summer camp. Students will also have an opportunity to explore and sketch using the iPads in the Museum’s galleries while looking for inspiration for their own work. A snack and all materials are included with registration.

Spring Break Camp: Intro to Painting

Kid’s age 7 – 11 will learn the versatility of this multi faceted medium! Using color theory and form, this camp will focus on  different styles and techniques of painting each day. Color mixing will be an important aspect during camp as well as awareness of composition. Students will create a different piece of art each day and will come away from camp with an understanding of how to construct a painting. All supplies and a mid-camp snack will be provided.
