Join us for a fun and festive clay-making adventure! In this hands-on class kids ages 7-11 will learn fundamental hand building techniques including pinch pots, coil building, and basic sculpture to create unique themed masterpieces. Students will craft ornaments, festive lanterns, and more, exploring their creativity while gaining skills in working with clay. All materials are provided- just bring your imagination.

Learn the versatility of this multi faceted medium! Using color theory and form, this class will focus on different styles and techniques of painting each day. Color mixing will be an important aspect during class as well as awareness of composition. Students will create a different piece of art each day and will come away from class with an understanding of how to construct a painting. All supplies will be provided.

Students aged 7 – 11 will explore a variety of art forms and dive into the world of visual art. Under the guidance of the instructor, students will learn foundational skills related to drawing, painting, collage and sculpture. Throughout this course, students will be introduced to contemporary and pop artists known for their work in these mediums. The skills learned in this class will help students understand the basics for future artistic endeavors. All supplies are provided.

In this 4 week course, the instructor will take the kids on a journey into the world of artifacts while creating ceramic versions of their own. Instruction will encompass hand building, including slab, coil work and sculpture. In addition, students will learn about glazing and the transformation of their pieces from the heat of the kiln. This will be a fun and educational class.  All works will be fired in the Museums’ kiln. Snack and materials are included.
