Inspired by her Czechoslovakian heritage, instructor Iva Neveux will introduce students to basic painting techniques to create beautiful hand painted hearts. Each student will create two hand-painted hearts using combinations of dots, lines, dashes and curves. Make one for yourself and one to give to someone you love. All materials included with registration.

This beginner-friendly course is designed to demystify the medium and provide a supportive introduction to its fundamentals. By the end of the session, participants will have a solid understanding of the tools and processes, equipping them with the confidence to continue their artistic journey.

This class teaches fundamental painting techniques with a focus on composition using the Loomis grid. Students will learn to structure their artwork effectively by applying the grid to improve balance, proportion, and focal points. Through guided exercises, you’ll refine your understanding of shapes, values, and color harmony, developing more dynamic and well-composed paintings.
