Sip a glass of lemonade and find yourself in the midst of a public participatory art installation with the artist collective Fallen Fruit. Draw a self-portrait onto a lemon and receive a glass of organic lemonade in exchange. Take part in collective memory-making by recording real-time stories and offer your own answers to prompts such as “tell the story about your first love” or “talk about a time in life when you were the happiest.” This free event will take place outside the Museum, adjacent to Fallen Fruit’s installation Monument to Sharing as part of Hands ON! Second Saturday.

On the heels of their first Grammy win, Time For Three (TF3), a prolific trio that stands at the intersection of Americana, modern pop, and classical music, will be premiering a new song cycle called Through the Mountains as part of Musica Sierra’s Musical Headwaters program. 

Earning praise from NPR, NBC, and The Wall Street Journal, TF3 is renowned for their charismatic and energetic performances in venues including Carnegie Hall, The Kennedy Center, and The Royal Albert Hall. To experience TF3 live is to hear the various eras, styles, and traditions of Western music fold in on themselves and emerge anew. Bonded by an uncommon blend of their instruments fused together with their voices, Charles Yang (violin, vocals), Nicolas “Nick” Kendall (violin, vocals), and Ranaan Meyer (double bass, vocals) have found a unique voice of expression to share with the world.

Cosmic views, dance, and poetry combine for an evening with Tony Berendsen and Collateral & Co. Following the performance, enjoy telescopic views of the night sky from the Stacie Mathewson Sky Plaza.
