Kids ages 2 – 6 will enjoy playing in clay with their parents as they create Valentine’s Day inspired keepsake treasures while exploring the tactile qualities of clay. Children will create hearts with hand prints, heart ornaments and a heart shaped spoon holder in this quick and messy class.

Monday – Friday, January 8 – 12 / 1:30 – 4:30 pm

Teens ages 13 – 18 will have fun exploring the tactile nature of clay.  Instruction will encompass basic hand building, throwing on the wheel, and sculpture.  In this 5 day intensive for teens, students will learn about the basics of pottery, glazing and the transformation of their pieces from the heat of kiln. This will be a fun and educational class.  All works will be fired in the Museums’ kiln. All materials are included.

Improve your life drawing skills and explore a variety of media while working freely from a nude model in this popular open studio class. The instructor will be present to coordinate class and offer instruction upon request. Both male and female models will be posed and drawn.

Improve your portrait drawing skills and explore a variety of media in this fun and encouraging open studio class. The instructor will be present to coordinate class and offer individualized instruction upon request. Weekly brief demonstrations will encourage individuals to work through drawing challenges and explore media of choice in this open studio format class.   Both male and female clothed models will be posed and drawn in this four-session class.

Using media of choice, students will explore costume, texture, and style in this open studio class. Drawing from a live model, students will explore textural costumes, lighting and form in this dynamic class for all skill levels.
