Intro to Ceramic Glazing Technology

In this hands-on workshop, participants will dive into the fundamentals of ceramic glazing. Through guided instruction, they’ll explore glaze chemistry, learn about key materials, and safely mix their own base glaze from scratch. By the end of the session, each participant will have created and applied a custom glaze to a test tile—laying the foundation for developing unique glaze colors in the next session. During the next session, you will glaze a prefabricated mug with your very own unique glaze.
