Ammonites in Watercolor
Celebrate the exhibition, “Deep Time: Sea Dragons of Nevada” by painting a watercolor study of ammonites. In this class, students will explore and learn the techniques of how to reserve the white of the paper with masking fluid, wet in wet washes and wet in damp accents. Students will also have an understanding of how to mix neutral colors, utilizing salt and granulating pigments. 100% cotton paper is highly recommended for wet in wet approach.

- Variety of watercolor brushes including 1” flat, #6,#10 or #12 round
- Small brush with fine tip to apply masking fluid or fine line resist pen or ruling pen
- Graphite or mechanical pencil
- Kneaded eraser
- Tracing paper
- Two plastic water containers

- Roll of paper towels
- Cling wrap

Floral Greeting Cards in Watercolor
Join this class to create floral greeting cards for any occasion. Under the guidance of the instructor, students will be using ‘wet in wet’ and ‘wet on dry’ watercolor techniques as well as dry brush effects. Students will be able to make a variety of cards of their choosing.

Introduction to Abstract Painting
This class explores the fundamentals of abstract aesthetics in painting. Students will learn to understand and apply the visual language of shape, form, and color to create compelling abstract compositions inspired by real-world visual references. The course focuses on acrylic painting techniques, offering versatility and immediate results that support the development of each student’s unique style and aesthetic.

The Art of Collage
Collaging is the art of sticking various different materials such as photographs, pieces of paper or fabric on to a backing. In this class, students will learn about the aesthetics of collage, melding the ideas of reality and fiction as the instructor guides them through the process of creating their own piece using everyday materials.
Supplies are provided, but feel free to bring any materials you’d like to incorporate into your collage piece.

Under the guidance of the instructor, students will explore essential materials, foundational techniques, and core principles of oil painting. By the end of the session, participants will have a solid understanding of the tools and processes, equipping them with the confidence to continue their artistic journey.

In this course, students will learn about screen maintenance, printing process and how to care for printing tools and supplies. Participants will walk away from the course with an edition of their own multi-layered screen prints with one-of-a-kind designs.

In this 4 week beginner friendly class, students will learn to make their very own wrap skirt. Over the duration of this course, students will gain a comprehensive understanding of the fundamentals of a wrap skirt design, fitting techniques, reading a pattern, sewing techniques, hem and more! The pattern will be provided.
