Summer Break Camp: Intro to Visual Art
Calling all young creatives! This exciting camp invites kids ages 7 – 11 to explore the vibrant world of visual art through hands-on projects in drawing, painting, collage, and sculpture. Guided by the instructor, students will build foundational art skills while discovering just how fun and expressive art can be.
Each day, campers will be inspired by contemporary and pop artists who’ve made their mark in these mediums—sparking imagination and encouraging creative confidence. Whether your child is a budding artist or just loves to make things, this camp offers a supportive space to experiment and grow. All supplies and a mid-class snack are provided.

Kids ages 7 – 11 will have fun exploring the tactile nature of clay. Instruction will encompass basic hand building, throwing on the wheel, and sculpture. In this 5 day camp, students will learn about the basics of pottery, glazing and the transformation of their pieces from the heat of kiln. This will be a fun and educational class. All works will be fired in the Museums’ kiln. Snack and materials are included.

Drawing II: Linear and Atmospheric Perspective
Learn to draw buildings and room interiors. Offered for continuing beginning and intermediate students. Drawing ll builds on the fundamentals of Drawing l with focus on working conceptually. You will learn how to create the illusion of space using both linear and atmospheric perspective, as well as the use of cross-contour line to express 3-dimensional volume.

Intro to Needle Felting: A Family of Cats
Celebrate your love for felines by needle felting a charming mother cat and her kitten! In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn the art of sculpting with wool and hand-carding different colors to bring these adorable three-dimensional figures to life. Life Drawing
Improve your life drawing skills and explore a variety of media while working freely from a nude model in this popular studio class. The instructor will be present to coordinate the class, offer instruction and demonstrations. Both male and female models will be used in short and long posed positions.

Long Pose Figure in Any Medium
In this class students will work from a live, nude model, and a single pose for the entire 4 hour session. Long pose figure drawing gives students the time to develop a drawing beyond a gesture, and focus on more accurate measurements, as well as taking a deeper dive into value. Feel free to bring in any drawing or painting mediums for this class. There will be materials in the classroom for students to use. This class runs like an open studio, and the instructor will be present to give as much or as little instruction as each student requests.
