Inspired by the exhibition, Tahoe: A Visual History, children and families will be engaged with free art activities related to the geography of the Lake Tahoe region and will enjoy free hands-on art activities, performances, storytelling and a docent guided tour.

Barrio Block Party and Hands ON! Second Saturday
Join us for a blowout summer kick-off block party! Enjoy a free day at the Museum, live performances, food and craft vendors and hands-on art projects. Watch as we create original woodblock prints using an industrial asphalt roller. Make colorful tissue paper flowers and papel picado and enjoy the sounds of live music! Activities run from 10 am – 4 pm. FREE admission to the Museum continues until 6 pm.

DÍA DE LOS MUERTOS
Celebrating the Mexican tradition of Día del los Muertos, participants will enjoy a cultural presentation, interactive performance, storytelling and hands-on art activities. Participants will be invited to contribute to a group altar honoring the souls of loved ones and will explore the Mexican tradition of papel picado.
