Photographer Owen Gump began to photograph TRIC from the ground in 2016 as part of an ongoing series that examines the architectural typologies and landscapes of industrial centers. The archive currently consists of one photograph.

Biographical Note

Owen Gump is a Bay Area-based photographer who has been photographing the American West for more than a decade. He has been an artist-in-residence at both CLUI’s Wendover facility and Playa in southern Oregon. Gump grew up in California, attended the University of Washington, and then in 2002 applied for a DAAD fellowship to study art at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf. He then studied at the Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst in Leipzeig where he received his diploma. Subsequently, he settled in Cologne for a few years, then Berlin.

Scope and Content

Photographer Owen Gump was taken to TRIC by William Fox in 2016. They had previously met in 2007 at the CLUI Wendover residence. Gump began to photograph TRIC from the ground as part of an ongoing series that examines the architectural typologies and landscapes of industrial centers. The first images in the series were exhibited in Feirburg in 2017. The archive currently consists of one photograph.
