Biographical Note

Linda Alterwitz (American, b. 1960) is an independent interdisciplinary artist with a focus on photography who lives and works in Las Vegas, Nevada. Her practice envisions the unseen rhythms of the human body and our relationship to the natural world, encouraging dialogs about choice, trust, and collective experience. After a health crisis in the late 90s, Alterwitz utilized this experience to inform transformative approaches in her practice by combining art and science in her image creation.

In the space between art and science, she explores the aesthetics of art and scientific visual data.
