Give through the Community Foundation Donor Advised Fund

By making a grant from your Community Foundation Donor Advised Fund, you are helping to provide significant art and design experiences for the public, school-aged youth, teachers, and artists in Nevada. As the leading visual art and design institution in the state, the Museum is a leading source source of cultural and creative learning opportunities for students who otherwise do not have access to broad arts education.

Make a lasting difference in the life of a student by supporting one of the following Museum education programs with a grant of $1,000 to $10,000.

School Tour Program – Tours, annually serving 6,400 K-12 schoolchildren, help students draw connections between the art on display and interdisciplinary STEAM and Arts Integration concepts advanced through the National Core Arts Standards and the Nevada Academic Content Standards. Tours are designed to be interactive, inquiry-based, learner-centered, and to reflect and reinforce a variety of curricular areas.

Scholastic Art Awards – Middle and high school students compete for college scholarships and national awards through the program’s affiliation with the national Scholastic Art and Writing Awards organized by the Alliance for Young Artists and Writers in New York. The Museum has awarded tens of thousands of scholarship funds to area art and design students in support of their pursuit of higher education goals since becoming the regional host of the competition in 1999.

Hands ON! Second Saturdays are FREE! – This community outreach program offers free admission to children and families and reaches a broad demographic including many minority visitors, those with low incomes, and at-risk youth. Over 800 guests participate in hands-on art activities, performances, gallery tours and cultural presentations per month.
