Book Arts: Italic Calligraphy
Tuesdays, March 1 – 29 / 6 – 9 pm
Explore Italic’s fluency and versatility with pen and ink. In this five-week class we will construct formal Italic minuscules, majuscules and numerals. In addition to presentation and practice of these elegant and useful letter-forms, we will discuss tools, media and papers. For beginners and those that would like to renew your Italic hand!
Supply List:
- 1 ½ and 3mm Brause pen nibs and pen holder
- Higgins Eternal Ink (black)
- Strathmore 300 Series Sketch Pad with tape top, 9×12”
- Dishes for ink
- Rag
- Baby Wipes
