Introduction to Botanical Art

Capture the beauty of your garden or the Farmers Markets of Summer with botanical art. This class will teach step by step techniques in pencil and water color to create your own paintings and cards. No previous experience is necessary!

Instructor: Carroll Charlet

Ages: 15 and up / Beginning Levels

Required Supplies:

  • Basic water colors (Reeves or Richardson set of 12 is fine)
  • 2 basic water color brushes, #8 or #6, and #4 or #2
  • Sketch paper or sketch tablet
  • 2 drawing pencils or mechanical pencils, and a kneaded eraser
  • Tablet of water color paper 140# cold press (Strathmore or Casson)
  • Roll of paper towels
