Together with the backdrop exhibition Into the Time Horizon, the 2026 Art + Environment Summit: Under Pressure brings together artists, writers, Indigenous leaders, designers, and visionaries for a three-day gathering offering discussion, performance and exploration into one of the most important and complex subjects of our time.

Kim Stanley Robinson, Rose B. Simpson, Cannupa Hanska Luger, and the Land Art Generator Initiative (LAGI) present “Proposals for the Future,” featuring solutions for building a sustainable, resilient, and regenerative future. Ideas and discussions of how artistic creativity, ecology, and Indigenous knowledge can generate new paths forward during a time of accelerating environmental crisis are explored by Kai Anderson, Makeda Best, Andrea Bowers, Johanna Burton, Carolina Caycedo, Sudeep Chandra, Brittany Nicole Cox, Apsara DiQuinzio, Herman Fillmore, William L. Fox, LaToya Ruby Frazier, Jeffrey Gibson, Kathy Jetñil-Kijiner, Jonathon Keats, Dr. Bernie Krause, Rebecca Lendl, Margaret Levi, Judith Lowry, Jack Malotte, Haley Mellin, Stacey Montooth, Maia Nuku, Katie Paterson, Eric-Paul Riege, Colin M.
