Destination Dance

Destination Dance

Destination Dance comes to the Wilbur D. May Sculpture Plaza at the Nevada Museum of Art. Local choreographers take traditional and contemporary dance off the stage and into a whole new environment with Destination Dance. Site-specific dance is work that is created in response to a particular place, inspired by architecture, design, history, and use. Featuring urban and natural sites located in Downtown Reno, this walking-distance dance tour will allow audience members a unique engagement with dance while viewing some of Reno’s most treasured locations.

Tour groups depart from the Reno City Plaza at 6:00pm, 6:20pm, 6:40pm, and 7:00pm.  The tour route will be approximately 1 mile and will take one hour to complete. The event is free and open to the public, and people will be welcome to join the tour for as many stops as they choose.
