Friends of Nevada Museum of Art

Volunteerism is foundational to the Nevada Museum of Art. In 1931, a cadre of landscape painters known as the Latimer Art Club became the founding volunteer organization behind the Nevada Art Gallerynow the Nevada Museum of Art.

The Museum continues to benefit from this vision with a dedicated corps of volunteers known as Friends of Nevada Museum of Art. From welcoming guests in the Nightingale Sky Room to assisting with administrative projects and special programs in the Institute for Art + Environment, these volunteers contribute more than $350K in vital community support each year. With more than 200 active volunteers serving in roles ranging from docents to theater greeters, the Friends of Nevada Museum of Art work thoughtfully to support the Museum’s continued growth and success.
