Art High: Alternative Photographic Processes – Cyanotypes

Art High: Alternative Photographic Processes – Cyanotypes

Saturdays, November 19 – December 17* / 9:30 am – noon

NOTE: Class does not meet on November 26th.

This class designed for teens, ages 13 – 18 who  will explore the art of cyanotypes from silhouette printing to creating prints with their own digital negatives. The cyanotype process is over 160 years old. A classic analog photographic printing process, cyanotype uses light sensitive materials that produce a monotone cyan-blue print. Students will experiment with different ways to make an image using the sun, toning and bleaching processes, and various paper surfaces to create different effects.
