En Plein Air: Outdoor Painting Session at Bartley Ranch Park

Explore light and color “en plein air” in a series of site-specific outdoor painting sessions. Facilitated by faculty from the E.L. Cord Museum School this painting series is an opportunity for intermediate to advanced artists to paint from life, capturing the beauty of our local landscapes.

Ages: 15+ | *Some experience
Supply list: Please bring your medium you feel most comfortable working in as this class will focus more on light and color of “plein air” style. The instructor works mostly in acrylics and oils.
Recommend Supplies: Please show your proof of registration at Nevada Fine arts for a 10% discount.
- Pencil
- Canvas: minimum 11” x 14” – up to 18” x 24” (or appropriate paper if using water color, pastels, etc.)
- Portable easel
- Assorted Brushes and pallet knife
- Pallet Colors Spray bottle
- Jar (for water)
- Metal containers appropriate for thinner and medium ( if using oil paint)
- Rags/paper towels
- Disposable rubber gloves

- Light weight folding chair
