Introduction to Sewing Intensive: Mastering the Basics
10 am - 4 pm
In this introductory intensive workshop, students will learn to master the basics of sewing while creating a tote bag from scratch. If you’re a beginner or someone who needs a refresher, this class is for you! By the end of class students will have learned to operate a computerized sewing machine, sew straight, hand sew, fabric/notion selection, proper cutting techniques, and how to start designing your own sewing projects.
Note: The Museum School has Singer Brilliance 6180 brand sewing machines tools and fabric for students to use but please feel free to bring your own machine, if you are familiar with it, and supplies.
The Museum School also has an embroidery and serger/overlock machine for student use.
