Photography: Intro to Digital Photo Montage in Post Production

Photography: Intro to Digital Photo Montage in Post Production

Sunday, February 19
10 am - 1 pm

Students will learn how to explore the fantastical and infinite worlds of digital photography through post production and practice expanding their artistic visualization. Through both visual instruction and hands-on practice on iPads, students will learn how to blend separate photos into one fantastical image reminiscent of photomontages like those of Oscar Rejlander and Jerry Uelsmann.

Under the guidance of the instructor, students will learn how to look at image-making through a spatially aware lens and grow their imagination and gain the skills in order to seamlessly blend photos to create complex compositions. No previous design experience is necessary as this course will serve as a foundation for individuals wishing to step into the photo-making world.

*Feel free to bring your laptop with a photo editing program. Gimp is a free downloadable program you can find on the internet which will be the program we will be using on our iPads.
