Teacher Art Bootcamp

Summer Art Camp: For Teachers! When was the last time you went to Art Camp? Treat yourself to experiencing a variety of media ranging from crayon and colored pencil to oil pastels and Suminigashi! Experienced teaching artist Elizabeth Brooks will lead you through a few sample lessons each day and provide you with context based in both the visual art AND content standards you teach every day. As a certified Arts Integration Specialist, Elizabeth will go over materials management in the classroom and offer suggestions and resources for arts integrated lesson plans- but the main focus is on process and skill development with visual art media. This class has been designed for K-6 grade teachers, but teachers of all types are welcome and will be accommodated.

This 15 hour course is offered for equal hours towards professional development.

Covid 19 Museum School Policies:

– All students will be requested to wear a mask for the duration of their visit inside the Museum school. Mask will be provided upon request.

– Please exercise social distancing when in close proximity to other students and staff. Class sizes and seating arrangements have been changed to allow for 6 feet of social distance.

– Please note, snacks and drinks will no longer be distributed during class. Students are encouraged to bring their own personal water bottle and snack if needed to class.
