  • Free High School Admission

    The Museum offers free unlimited admission and a complimentary guest pass to every high school student enrolled in the Washoe County and Douglas County School Districts. Serves over 1,600 students annually, ages 14 to 18 years.

  • The Scholastic Art Awards

    Part of the National Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, this annual competition recognizes Northern Nevada’s gifted young artists. Middle and high school students compete for regional scholarships and awards and for the opportunity to compete at the national level. Presented in collaboration with the Holland Project.

  • Teen Art Night

    Teen Art Night is organized in conjunction with the Holland Project, provide an outlet for teens through evening s at the Museum with art, music and hands-on activities, film projects, and such events as the ‘Stranger Project’ where teens collaborate with artists to produce original art works.

  • Hands ON! Second Saturday

    Second Saturday of Each Month
    Hands On Second Saturday provides hands-on activities throughout the Museum. The activities offered encourage adults and children to make art together. Ages 3 to adult. FREE admission all day.

  • E. L. Cord Museum School

    The E.L. Cord Museum School offers tuition-based art classes for students of all ages on a quarterly basis. Current offerings include classes in painting, life drawing, ceramics, printmaking, photography, design courses, and book arts.
